Introducing our line of all natural Alaskan-made candles: these candles are handcrafted with 100% organic beeswax, organic coconut oil, natural wooden wicks, and high quality essential oils. These are candles you can feel good about burning in your home or gifting to a friend!

WHY BEESWAX?

Beeswax is completely natural and does not give off any harmful chemicals when burned. It has been used for candles for centuries. Beeswax candles burn with a soft glow.

WHY COCONUT OIL?

Beeswax is a very hard wax, and jar candles made with beeswax often have problems with tunneling, when a narrow pool of wax burns down, leaving a ring of wax around the edges of the jar. Adding a small amount of coconut oil makes the candle softer, so that it will burn more evenly. Don’t worry, your candle will still burn for a long time!

WHY WOODEN WICKS?

If you use a wooden wick in your candle, you can be sure there’s no lead in it. Commercial candle wicks often have lead or other substances that you probably don’t want to burn in your home. I use cedar chips for a clean burn.

Wooden wicks also provide a gentle ambiance. The flame flickers and the wick crackles, just like a wood fire.

WHY ESSENTIAL OILS?

Fragrance oils contain harmful chemicals that are released into the air when burned. Even “natural” scents may not be designed for burning in candles. Essential oils are natural substances derived from the distillation or cold pressing of flowers, fruit peels, herbs, and tree resins. Even though they are natural, these plant essences are still very concentrated and should be used carefully. Our candles provide a gentle scent instead of an overpowering aroma.

We use high quality essential oils that are sourced responsibly from reputable distributors. No cheap knock-offs here! We only buy from companies that use third-party GC/MS testing and publish the results. Because of the high quality oils, our candle prices are higher than other candles you may see. We are not willing to compromise the quality of our candles by using cheaper brands with questionable purity. We trust these brands enough to use their essential oils on our skin. If you are in doubt, message me and I will tell you exactly which brands of essential oils I used to make your candle.

Keep in mind that babies and kids are often more sensitive to essential oils than adults, and please burn these candles in well ventilated areas. Do not burn them in kids’ bedrooms.
